Noosa has a bounty of great restaurants. Hastings Street, a 10 minute walk from Grantlea Lodge, Villa and Outlook, is the starting point for a range of quality dining, but don’t overlook Noosa Harbour and Gympie Terrace, both a short taxi ride, with “hidden gems” for dinner, lunch and breakfast. Even closer, Noosa Junction offers a wide range of take away and simple fare, and the Reef Hotel and Irish Murphy’s excellent pub fare. Many local restaurants also offer a delivery service. La Vida on Hastings Street and Treo’s at Harbourside have both won awards, and The Harbour Master at Harbourside offers great lunch specials. The hinterland also offers some hidden gems. Eumundi has several excellent restaurants, with some of Australia’s best live entertainers regularly featured at local venues. Yandina boasts not one but two great Thai restaurants. The award winning Spirit House is outstanding but bookings are essential. The Mapleton range tourist drive is dotted with restaurants and coffee venues, several of which offer magnificent views of the coast and surf beaches. The Mapleton Pub is an outstanding lunch stop if you are looking for a traditional pub lunch. Settler’s Ridge Winery provides a great setting for wine and cheese.
